Armatrix raised ₹67.28 crore, or ₹672.8 million, in a seed round led by UK-based Crane Venture Partners, according to CXO Digitalpulse. The deal values the deeptech robotics startup at approximately ₹360 crore, or ₹3.6 billion, 4.8 times its ₹75 crore valuation at the previous funding round. CXO Digitalpulse said the round appears ongoing, with more tranches possible.

How did investors split the seed round?

Regulatory filings accessed by Entrackr and reported by CXO Digitalpulse identify Crane Venture Partners as lead investor, with existing and new investors joining the round. They disclose the following allocations:

  • Crane Venture Partners invested ₹40 crore, nearly three-fifths of the stated round.
  • Existing investor pi Ventures invested ₹15 crore.
  • gradCapital invested ₹4.52 crore.
  • Boundless Ventures invested ₹2.5 crore.
  • Inuka Capital invested ₹2.37 crore.
  • NKSquared invested ₹2.37 crore, marking its entry into the company.
  • AL Trust, Saurabh Chandra, Unacademy co-founder Roman Saini and existing investor Narayan Rangarajan invested ₹67 lakh collectively.

Those allocations sum to ₹67.43 crore, ₹15 lakh above the ₹67.28 crore headline. The difference equals about 0.2% of the round, and CXO Digitalpulse did not reconcile it.

Takeaway: The investor roster is clear, but the allocation table does not match the headline.

What do the securities filings show?\n

According to regulatory filings accessed by Entrackr, Armatrix allotted 4,070 compulsory convertible preference shares at ₹1,64,900 each, equivalent to ₹1.649 lakh per share, plus 10 equity shares. The preference shares represent about ₹67.11 crore, leaving roughly ₹16.57 lakh to reach the stated round total. The report gave no equity-share price and did not reconcile that difference.

The round appeared to be ongoing, and CXO Digitalpulse said Armatrix could raise additional capital in subsequent tranches. The report did not disclose a final round ceiling or specify whether the roughly ₹360 crore valuation was pre-money or post-money.

Takeaway: The disclosed security terms roughly support the round, though the filing details stop short of a full reconciliation.

What is Armatrix building?

Founded in 2024 by Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi and Ayush Ranjan, Armatrix develops snake-like robotic manipulators for hazardous and confined industrial environments, CXO Digitalpulse reported. The systems target inspection and maintenance in shipbuilding, nuclear energy, oil and gas, and aviation. The stated aim is to reduce human entry into dangerous or difficult-to-access spaces.

CXO Digitalpulse described Armatrix as working toward commercial deployment but disclosed no commercial traction metrics. The report also gave no safety-certification timetable or performance data for the manipulators.

Takeaway: Armatrix has a defined use case, but the source provides no proof of scaled commercial adoption.

How does the funding compare with the operating record?\n

Armatrix remained pre-revenue in FY26 and reported a net loss of ₹3.05 crore, or ₹30.5 million, according to CXO Digitalpulse. The source disclosed no sales against which to test the roughly ₹360 crore valuation.

Less than a year earlier, in January 2026, Armatrix raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed round led by pi Ventures. CXO Digitalpulse said Inuka Capital, Boundless Ventures, Boost VC, Turbostart and gradCapital also participated in that earlier round.

Armatrix plans to use the seed proceeds for business expansion and general corporate purposes, according to the report. It provided neither a spending breakdown nor measurable targets for turning the technology into revenue.

The new capital should expand Armatrix's robotics technology and operations as it works toward commercial deployment, CXO Digitalpulse said. That support leaves the evidence gap intact: the source disclosed no revenue or completed commercial deployment in FY26.

Takeaway: Armatrix has more capital and a higher valuation, but not yet the revenue evidence needed to judge commercial execution.
