What's News
- Cyera raised $400M in a Series G extension from Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, bringing total equity funding to $2.7B.
- Confido closed a $55M Series B led by Insight Partners; Ande raised $52M across Seed and Series A from Lightspeed, Redpoint and Bain Capital Ventures.
- Chamelio ($26M Series A led by Entree Capital) and snag ($4M Seed led by Slow Ventures) completed the day's five disclosed NYC deals totaling roughly $537M.
Cyera, a New York data security startup, has raised $400 million in a Series G extension from Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, bringing its total equity funding to $2.7 billion.
The company, founded by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan in 2021, builds a platform that governs what data humans, machines, and AI agents can access across the enterprise. The size of the round dwarfs the rest of the day's New York deal flow combined, and it signals that late-stage investors still pay premium prices for cybersecurity platforms positioned around AI access control.
Four other NYC startups disclosed funding on September 22, 2026, according to AlleyWatch's daily funding report, spanning enterprise AI, legal tech, and residential real estate.
Confido raises $55M Series B
Confido, an AI platform that unifies finance, accounting, sales, and operations for consumer packaged goods brands, raised $55 million in Series B funding. Insight Partners led the round, with participation from Trenches Capital, Watchfire Ventures, Barrel Ventures, Footwork, and Y Combinator.
Justin Hunter and Kara Holinski founded the company in 2022. Confido has now raised $77 million in total equity funding.
Ande books $52M across Seed and Series A
Ande, an AI-native network that connects enterprises with venues and vendors to book and manage corporate entertainment, raised $52 million in combined Seed and Series A funding. The investor list includes Lightspeed Venture Partners, Redpoint, Duration Ventures, Sierra Ventures, and Bain Capital Ventures.
Lohit Sarma and Michael McDermott founded Ande in 2023. A $52 million raise across a company's first two rounds ranks among the largest early-stage financings in the city this cycle, and it shows multi-firm syndicates are still willing to concentrate capital in unproven AI-native marketplaces.
Chamelio secures $26M for legal automation
Chamelio, an AI-native legal platform that automates contract drafting, negotiation, and workflows for in-house legal teams, raised $26 million in Series A funding. Entree Capital led the round. Work-Bench, Emerge Ventures, and Bright Pixel Capital also participated.
Alex Zilberman, Gal Lellouche, and Gil Banyas founded the company in 2024. Chamelio has raised $39.5 million to date.
snag takes $4M Seed for verified sublets
snag, a housing marketplace that connects renters with verified sublets and lease takeovers, raised $4 million in Seed funding. Slow Ventures led the round, with participation from Precursor Ventures, Long Journey Ventures, Chamaeleon, Brian Kelly, and Sloane Stephens.
Selin Sonmez and Niko Georgantas founded the company in 2025.
The day's total
The five disclosed deals amount to roughly $537 million in fresh capital for New York startups. Two of the five companies — Cyera and Confido — sit squarely in AI-driven security and enterprise software, and a third, Ande, applies AI to corporate event booking. AlleyWatch notes its report updates throughout the day as new fundings surface, so the final tally may grow. For now, the pattern is clear: AI-anchored companies absorbed the bulk of the money, and Goldman Sachs' $400 million bet on Cyera set the pace.
