More than 10,000 women, financial institutions and wealth experts are expected at the fourth edition of FinTribe's annual Finance Fair in Lagos on Saturday, October 31, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, from 10 a.m.
The Pan-African women-focused wealth platform has themed this year's event "I CAN," with Sycamore returning as lead sponsor. The focus is deliberately practical: turning financial knowledge into action across savings, investments, income growth, entrepreneurship and long-term wealth creation.
Attendance is free, but registration through the FinTribe website is required. For practitioners weighing whether to block out a Saturday, the organisers have made the pitch explicit: "Less Talk. More Action."
What does this change for attendees?
For the women in the room, the fair offers direct access to banks, investment companies, fintech firms and other organisations selling financial products and services. That's the working difference between a conference and a marketplace. Networking sessions, brand activations and product explorations sit alongside the talks, so attendees can move from listening to transacting in the same venue.
There's also money on the table. Previous editions have carried an empowerment component that distributed millions of naira in business grants, international trips, plots of land, cash prizes and smartphones to women participants. The organisers frame the fourth edition as another platform to engage financial experts, explore investments, connect with potential business partners and take concrete steps toward financial security.
The event's reach extends beyond Lagos. Viewing centres will operate in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Akwa Ibom and Enugu, opening participation to women who can't travel to Victoria Island.
Who's speaking, and who's behind it?
FinTribe founder Jennifer Awirigwe, widely known as Financial Jennifer, set out the thinking behind the theme. The "I CAN" framing, she said, was designed to push women past financial awareness and toward the confidence to act on their goals.
"Financial education is important, but knowledge must eventually become action. We want women to leave Finance Fair knowing that they can save, invest, grow their income, build businesses and take ownership of their financial future," Awirigwe said.
She described the initiative's aim as equipping women with the knowledge, confidence and opportunities needed to make informed financial decisions and build sustainable wealth.
Expected at the 2026 edition are Funke Akindele, Omoni Oboli, and Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, better known as BamBam, alongside finance professionals including Sola Adesakin, Lynda Aguocha and Dr. Seyi Abiodun, popularly known as Seyi De Assistant.
A community already moving money
The fair is the flagship event of a platform with measurable scale behind it. FinTribe says its community has grown to more than 20,000 women across over 40 countries. Collectively, those members have saved and invested millions of dollars through the platform's financial education, community and accountability programmes — a figure the company cites as evidence that its model changes habits, not just headlines.
The platform attributes that growth to its commitment to helping women build healthier financial habits, deepen investment knowledge and pursue long-term financial independence. The Finance Fair sits inside a broader effort to promote financial literacy, encourage investment and strengthen women's participation in wealth creation.
Past editions have drawn business leaders, financial experts and public figures, including Dr. Ajoritsedere Awosika, Shaffy Bello, Ruth Kadiri, Nkiru Olumide-Ojo, Olufemi Shobanjo, TriciaBiz, Alex Unusual, Beauty Tukura and Dr. Ayodeji Ebo.
The bet FinTribe is making is straightforward: a community that already saves and invests together will respond to a venue where banks, fintechs and investment firms are standing by to convert intent into accounts. For Nigerian financial institutions chasing the women's wealth segment, October 31 in Lagos is where that demand will gather in one room.
