POLITICO will serve as the official media partner for the B20 USA Summit hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the two organizations announced today.
The deal gives POLITICO a central operational role at a summit expected to draw thousands of delegates from around the world. The B20 will be held in the United States for the first time from November 9–11, 2026, at The Wharf in Washington, D.C., which will be transformed into a B20 Village for the event.
As part of the strategic partnership, POLITICO will operate the POLITICO Pub at B20 USA. The venue will anchor the news organization's on-the-ground reporting and live events throughout the summit. It will host high-level fireside chats and interviews, and double as a space for attendees to network, recharge and continue conversations.
The B20, or Business 20, unites business leaders from the world's 20 largest economies and beyond to advocate for policies that drive global growth and prosperity. The U.S. Chamber helped found the coalition in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis to ensure private sector leadership in global economic policymaking.
"At POLITICO, we report on the forces shaping policy, politics and business, and trust in our reporting empowers us to convene the leaders behind those developments," said POLITICO CEO Goli Sheikholeslami. "As geopolitics and the global economy grow more intertwined, these convenings matter more than ever. We're proud to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at this year's B20, bringing our live journalism to the main stage at one of the most important events for global business and extending the day at our signature POLITICO Pub — where conversations continue and real connections are made."
Suzanne Clark, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber and Co-Chair of B20 USA, framed the partnership as a way to convert summit dialogue into business results. "With its vast network of journalists and global reach, POLITICO is an ideal partner for B20 USA," Clark said. "This November, we will convene the world's leading private sector voices in one place, giving attendees the opportunity to turn dialogue into tangible commercial outcomes. We look forward to working closely with POLITICO to host a B20 unlike any other."
The partnership pairs two heavyweight Washington institutions. POLITICO, founded in 2007, employs more than 1,100 journalists and publishing professionals across Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento and New York. The company is a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, the family-owned transatlantic media company headquartered in Berlin and New York. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which marks more than 114 years of advocacy, calls itself the world's largest business organization, with members ranging from small businesses and local chambers of commerce to leading industry associations and large corporations.
For POLITICO, the deal extends its live journalism and events franchise onto the main stage of a summit that shapes recommendations to G20 governments. For the Chamber, it adds editorial firepower to a first-ever U.S. edition of the B20 at a moment when, as Sheikholeslami put it, geopolitics and the global economy grow more intertwined.
