Singapore's Stryv has raised US$11.5 million in Series B funding led by ACV Capital, with Openspace Capital, OCTAVE Capital and other investors participating, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. The cash funds a push into Taiwan, deeper growth in Malaysia and Hong Kong, and a wider product line built through R&D and acquisitions.
What does this change for practitioners? It's another signal that Southeast Asian consumer brands are scaling through consolidation rather than organic growth alone.
Where the money goes
Stryv laid out three uses for the capital:
- New market entry, with Taiwan first in line
- Expansion in existing markets Malaysia and Hong Kong
- Broader products via research and development plus acquisitions of brands that fit the portfolio
The acquisition playbook isn't theoretical. In March 2026, Stryv bought Singapore-based Sterra, a deal that brought a presence in 200,000 households and pulled the company into the home appliances category. To put that in perspective, 200,000 households is roughly one in twenty Singapore homes.
Stryv said acquiring brands with a market presence distinct from its own can open more Asia-Pacific markets. That's the core logic of this round: buy distribution, not just products.
From hair dryers to massage chairs
Stryv built its name on personal care devices — hair dryers, stylers, shavers. Since September 2026, drawing on Sterra's expertise, it has moved into home care with the Stryv Oasis massage chair and the Stryv Halo air purifier. The final steps of the Sterra brand merger will be completed in the coming months, the company said.
The portfolio now spans hair care, men's grooming, oral care, air and water purification, and home comfort. Stryv's framing is straightforward: serving both personal and home care lets it stay with customers across more of their daily routines.
For consumer-goods operators, that's the multi-category ecosystem bet — own more touchpoints per household and the lifetime value per customer climbs.
What the investors said
Helen Wong, managing partner at ACV Capital, said Stryv's well-designed, value-for-money products appeal to consumers across Asia. ACV Capital sees opportunities in areas such as clean air and water.
Roy Ang, CEO and co-founder of Stryv, said the round is a strong endorsement of the company's aim to build a multi-category ecosystem of personal and home care products for families across Asia.
The so-what
The combination of a growth cheque, a proven acquisition in Sterra, and a stated appetite for more brand deals positions Stryv as a consolidator in Asia-Pacific's fragmented personal and home wellness space. Watch Taiwan entry timing and any further brand purchases — those will show whether the ecosystem strategy scales or stalls.
