What's News

  • VentureIsrael appointed Evgenia Zaslavskaya as Venture Partner on Sept. 23, 2026, to lead international communications for the fund and its portfolio.
  • Zaslavskaya has managed VentureIsrael's public and media relations since 2022; she is founder and CEO of agency Zecomms and won Best Leader in PR and Communications at the 2025 Davos Communications Awards.
  • VentureIsrael is ranked the third most active VC investor in Israel, with a portfolio of 30+ companies, 50+ investments, and 10+ exits across AI, cybersecurity, space, and quantum technologies.

VentureIsrael, the Israeli venture fund ranked third most active VC investor in the country, has appointed Evgenia Zaslavskaya as Venture Partner to lead its international communications, the firm announced on Sept. 23, 2026 from Tel Aviv-Yafo.

The move formalizes a four-year working relationship. Zaslavskaya has managed VentureIsrael's public and media relations since 2022 through Zecomms, the international communications agency she founded that year. The new role brings her directly into the fund's venture partner team and extends her remit to the portfolio itself: founders in the fund's more than 30 technology companies will now have access to the same communications expertise for their own technology, teams, and traction.

Zaslavskaya brings more than 15 years of PR experience. Her agency works with tech companies and investment funds across the US, the UK, Europe, and the MENA region, with dozens of projects in AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and health. In 2025, the Davos Communications Awards named her Best Leader in Public Relations and Communications.

Rafael Gold, Managing Partner at VentureIsrael, framed the hire as an answer to a specific problem: how the market perceives a fund and its companies.

"We've worked with Evgenia and her team for several years now and have seen first-hand how much strategic communications shape the way the market perceives a fund and the companies it backs. Bringing her into the venture partner team is a natural next step for us: we want this expertise inside the fund, available to every founder we support from day one. Evgenia understands both the venture market and Israeli deep tech, and that combination is exactly what we need right now to grow further," Gold said.

The appointment signals where VentureIsrael sees competitive advantage. The fund invests in early-stage Israeli companies across AI, cybersecurity, space, quantum technologies, and other deep-tech segments. Its team has completed more than 50 investments and 10-plus exits, both through the current fund and in the partners' earlier activity.

In her new role, Zaslavskaya will make the fund's strategy, track record, and expertise visible to investors, partners, and customers in the US, the UK, and other key international markets. Her mandate covers positioning the fund globally, building relationships with business and tech media, growing the partners' public profiles, and shaping the news narrative around VentureIsrael and its portfolio.

Zaslavskaya described the appointment as a platform to widen the audience for Israeli technology.

"Israel has a vibrant tech market with many products worth talking about, and I want to bring more of them to a global audience. Partnering with VentureIsrael—a firm I've worked with for many years, and one that has backed some of the country's most interesting deep-tech companies—is a natural place to do that," she said.

The structure is notable for a fund of VentureIsrael's size: rather than retaining an outside agency, it has pulled communications leadership in-house at the partner level. For a firm betting on deep-tech segments that often require long technical explanations to reach global buyers and investors, the bet is that narrative control becomes part of the product from day one.
