  • Nine other Indian venture deals were announced Oct 6-8, 2026, including Quanfluence's $10 million round led by Chiratae Ventures.

Lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Zinara has raised $380,000 (Rs 3.61 crore) in a pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), the company announced on Thursday.

Nine Jewellery, Bollywood actress Nikita Dutta and other angel investors also participated, Zinara said in a statement.

The company will deploy the funds to build its team and accelerate marketing, alongside strengthening its supply-chain infrastructure.

Who is behind Zinara?

IIT Delhi alumni Harshit Abrol and Sumanyu Vyas founded the Delhi-based brand, which aims to position lab-grown diamond jewellery as an everyday purchase rather than a special-occasion product.

Zinara offers more than 400 designs in 18K gold vermeil with lab-grown diamonds and operates a digital-first model serving customers across India. The company also provides a lifetime warranty, buyback and exchange options.

The brand claims it has crossed Rs 1 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

Why did IPV invest?

Vinay Bansal, co-founder of IPV, framed the bet around three converging trends in Indian jewellery consumption.

"Zinara is operating at the intersection of three shifts which is shaping the future of jewellery consumption in India: the rise of the design-conscious consumer, the growing acceptance of lab-grown diamonds and the demand for accessible price points," Bansal said.

What else closed in India's deal market?

The Zinara round was one of nine prominent venture transactions announced in India between Oct 6-8, 2026, according to DealStreetAsia's India Deal Monitor:

  • Quanfluence (Bengaluru) — $10,000,000; Chiratae Ventures led, with Rainmatter by Zerodha and Pi Ventures participating. Hardware, AI and machine learning.
  • byteXL (Hyderabad) — $9,000,000; Elevar Equity led, with Kalaari Capital and The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Edtech.
  • Sunfox Technologies (Dehradun) — $7,000,000 Series A; Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital. Healthtech medical devices.
  • Zomint (Chandigarh) — $3,720,000 seed; Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners. Fintech.
  • Desible.ai (Bengaluru) — $3,300,000 Seed+; Prime Venture Partners led, with Invention Engine. AI and machine learning software.
  • Credfix (Bengaluru) — $1,700,000 seed; Tanglin Venture Partners led, with Stargazer. Fintech software.
  • Ionage (Bengaluru) — $1,300,000 pre-Series A. Energy storage for electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • The Dough Therapy (Mumbai) — $542,916 seed; Michigan Capital Advisors led, with Equiglobe Investment. Restaurant tech.

What does the Zinara round signal?

A $380,000 pre-seed is a modest cheque even by Indian seed standards, but IPV's backing gives Zinara capital to scale a digital-first model in a lab-grown diamond segment where consumer acceptance is still being tested. Whether the brand can convert its Rs 1 crore ARR into sustained growth will determine if bigger rounds follow.
