Chancellor Orders 1% Department Cuts to Fill £4.7bn Defence Hole

Chancellor John Healey has ordered 1% capital budget cuts across government to fill a £4.7bn gap in the Defence Investment Plan, on top of earlier cuts worth £10.3bn.
