Chapter Homes raised Rs 63 crore, equivalent to USD 6.6 million, in a strategic funding round, according to BW Disrupt. The debt-and-equity financing valued the omnichannel furniture and home furnishings startup at nearly Rs 1,000 crore, or around USD 106 million.

Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian Tanmay Bhat and several family offices participated in the round, according to BW Disrupt’s account of a media report. The startup has also received commitments from undisclosed investors for a future funding round, BW Disrupt reported.

What will the new capital fund?

Chapter Homes will direct fresh capital toward product development and expansion into new categories, according to the company. It also plans to invest in technology and brand building, BW Disrupt reported.

A portion of the proceeds will support expansion of Chapter Homes’ omnichannel distribution network. The startup also plans to establish its initial offline presence, according to Chapter Homes.

The company said it aims to address demand for well-designed products, reliable quality, functionality and a better shopping experience. Chapter Homes intends to meet those needs across online and offline channels, according to its stated strategy.

Co-founder Nitin Chugh said the startup is building focused brands across home and kitchen categories. He said Chapter Homes is using those brands to address consumer expectations for design, quality and function, BW Disrupt reported.

What has Chapter Homes built?

Founded in 2025, Chapter Homes develops multiple consumer brands for Indian households, according to BW Disrupt. Its founders are Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal; all five are former PharmEasy executives, according to the source.

Chapter Homes has already launched HOKIPO, a home furnishings brand, according to the startup. The company plans to add cookware, home décor and small kitchen appliances, BW Disrupt reported.

Chapter Homes intends to leverage shared supply chain, content, technology and distribution capabilities across the wider portfolio. The company plans to use artificial intelligence across several operating functions, according to Chapter Homes.

  • Cataloguing
  • Demand forecasting
  • Product assortment
  • Customer retention

The startup expects artificial intelligence to accelerate product launches and control costs, according to its technology roadmap. The broader plan combines those digital tools with additional consumer brands and greater distribution reach, Chapter Homes said.

What does the funding backdrop show?

BW Disrupt placed Chapter Homes among home-improvement ventures founded by former PharmEasy executives. It said investor interest in home improvement and décor has continued, citing three comparison financings.

  • AllHome, founded by PharmEasy co-founders, raised Rs 200 crore earlier this year in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, according to BW Disrupt.
  • In August, home décor marketplace Vaaree raised Rs 65 crore in a Series A round co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures, according to BW Disrupt.
  • D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials raised Rs 70 crore in a pre-Series B round led by 360 ONE Asset, according to BW Disrupt.

Why is kitchen technology relevant?

BW Disrupt reported that more Indian households were exploring induction cooktops, smart appliances, electric rice cookers and air fryers amid LPG supply concerns. The report linked that shift to wider consumer interest in adjacent kitchen technology.

Chapter Homes said it plans to tap the opportunity through its planned expansion into cookware and small kitchen appliances. Those categories would sit alongside home furnishings and home décor within the company’s broader portfolio, according to Chapter Homes.

How large is the target market?

Chapter Homes is targeting India’s home furnishings and décor market for now, according to the startup. BW Disrupt cited a projection that the market will reach USD 45.5 billion by 2031.

Against that forecast, Chapter Homes’ stated priorities are product development, technology, brand building, omnichannel distribution and an initial offline presence. It also has commitments from undisclosed investors for a future round, according to BW Disrupt.

The next phase centers on execution across new categories, planned AI use and offline expansion. Additional undisclosed commitments could provide the next funding step after that growth push, according to the report.
