What's News

  • $10 million round was led by Transition Venture Capital; existing investor Omnivore and angels Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy participated.
  • Founded in 2024, the company has four named founders: Archit Mehrotra, Karan Bhutani, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy.
  • Assets under management grew 1.5x consistently in each of the past three quarters, according to the startup.
  • Expansion targets include BESS, solar, energy efficiency, wastewater treatment, data centres, automotive, pharma, manufacturing and healthcare.
  • Six named clients include Premier Energies, Godrej, JK Tyre, Morepen Pharma, Wipro and Phoenix Mills.

Two Point O Capital (TW.O) has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital. Existing investor Omnivore and angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy also participated, according to the company.

What will the $10 million fund?

Two Point O Capital said the round will fund expansion into newer asset classes, including battery energy storage systems (BESS). The money will also deepen the company's presence in solar, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment, according to its announcement.

The company also identified data centres, automotive, pharma, manufacturing and healthcare as expansion sectors with significant energy and water requirements. It did not disclose how much of the $10 million will go to BESS or any of those industries.

The plan combines new asset classes with deeper penetration of existing markets, rather than a single-product expansion.

What is Two Point O Capital trying to build?

Founded in 2024 by Archit Mehrotra, Karan Bhutani, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy, Two Point O Capital describes itself as an AI-powered, full-stack clean-energy deployment platform for commercial and industrial businesses. It says the platform brings together financing, technology and end-to-end project execution to help companies adopt clean-energy infrastructure.

“This funding will accelerate our vision to become India’s first and largest multi-asset and multi-solution platform enabling adoption of clean energy by C&I customers,” said Karan Bhutani, CEO and Co-Founder of Two Point O Capital.

The announcement provides no market-share data or peer comparison to substantiate the “first and largest” claim. The financing supports a broader platform strategy, but the target of national scale remains untested.

How does the platform claim to perform?

Two Point O Capital said it partners with OEMs and EPCs across India. The company named these customers:

  • Premier Energies
  • Godrej
  • JK Tyre
  • Morepen Pharma
  • Wipro
  • Phoenix Mills

According to the startup, a proprietary AI/ML-enabled platform handles solutioning, underwriting and asset monitoring. It also reported that assets under management grew 1.5x consistently in every quarter over the past three quarters.

The announcement gave no starting or ending AUM balance, revenue figure or profitability measure. Investors therefore cannot size the managed assets or test whether faster AUM growth has translated into stronger economics.

“Two Point O removes the capex barrier, accelerating the adoption of clean energy solutions. The industry often underestimates the complexity of integration across a fragmented ecosystem with multiple stakeholders. By taking end-to-end ownership of execution, Two Point O enables customers to focus on their core business rather than managing the build,” said Yashodhara Bakliwal, VP, Investment at Transition Venture Capital.

Transition's assessment favors execution over capex. Neither the round announcement nor Bakliwal's statement quantified customer savings, project returns or deployment timelines, leaving the investment thesis qualitative.

The customer proposition is less integration work; the investment case still depends on quantified project outcomes.

What has the company not disclosed?

The $10 million is the only disclosed deal value. The announcement did not state a valuation, the mix of equity and debt, a closing date, an allocation of proceeds or a deployment timetable.

The company also omitted revenue, profit and ending AUM figures. No revenue target or project pipeline was disclosed for the expansion sectors.

The next test is whether Two Point O can turn the $10 million into BESS deployments and projects across the five named sectors while sustaining its claimed 1.5x quarterly AUM growth.
