Dextr AI, a Bengaluru-based hospitality-focused AI agent platform, has raised $6.7 million in a seed funding round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foundation Capital.
The company will use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, expand its team, and scale deployments across hospitality markets globally. India is also among the markets Dextr AI plans to enter.
Founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI builds specialized AI agents that automate workflows across guest experience, reservations, staff operations, sales, and marketing. The platform is currently deployed across properties in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, including hotels operating under brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG.
The scale is already significant for a company barely a year old. According to Dextr AI, its platform processes more than one million interactions every month. It also handles voice-based payments for phone reservations involving tens of millions of dollars in transaction value each month.
The startup targets operational pain points that have long plagued the hospitality industry: missed calls, unanswered guest enquiries, unfilled shifts, and routine guest requests. The company says its reservation centre deployments have delivered ROI ranging from 49x to 67x by using a single voice-based deployment across multiple use cases.
Alongside the funding announcement, Dextr AI is launching Doss Gen 1, a command layer that allows hotel employees to manage the company's AI workforce using natural language through text or voice. The system includes role-based permissions, audit trails, and portfolio-wide controls designed for enterprise hospitality operators.
The round signals continued investor appetite for vertical AI applications with demonstrated traction. Elevation Capital, one of India's most active early-stage investors, is backing a startup whose customer base sits largely in Western markets — while betting that India's hospitality sector offers the next growth frontier.
With the new funding, Dextr AI plans to deepen its technology capabilities, expand its presence across global hospitality markets, and build its footprint in India.
