What's News

  • Dubai Future Week runs 18-21 November 2026 at Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future.
  • The event expects more than 10,000 experts, innovators and participants.
  • Shortlisted startups pitch to investors, with the best advancing to a Shark Tank Dubai finale for on-stage investment.
  • The Pitch accepts Dubai-based startups with products, prototypes, ideas, research projects and university spin-offs.
  • Dubai Future Week spreads its program across eight platforms, including The Pitch, The Big Stage and 500 Future Minds.

Startups that make the cut at Dubai Future Week will pitch live to a panel of investors and can walk away with funding on stage. The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) opens the door through The Pitch, one of eight platforms at Dubai Future Week, running 18 to 21 November 2026 at Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future.

More than 10,000 experts, inventors, innovators and participants from Dubai, the UAE and abroad will attend the event. It runs under the theme 'For the Human of the Future'. The Pitch is its startup-facing centerpiece.

Who can apply?

DFF sets a wide net. The Pitch accepts Dubai-based startups with a viable product, a prototype or a promising idea that addresses market needs in the UAE and the wider region. Research-backed projects qualify too, as do university spin-offs.

Applications face a comprehensive set of assessment criteria. Judges use them to select the most promising ventures. Shortlisted founders then present to an audience of investors, corporate partners, government entities and industry experts.

That audience is the point. Founders get direct feedback on their businesses. They also gain access to new partnerships, pilot opportunities and mentorship — the kind of support that usually takes months of cold outreach to arrange.

What happens at the Shark Tank Dubai finale?

The strongest startups advance to an exclusive Shark Tank Dubai Finale. There they pitch in person to a panel of leading figures in Dubai's entrepreneurship scene. The prize is concrete: the chance to secure investment on stage, in front of the room.

Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO of DFF, framed the concept as more than a pitching contest. "The Pitch goes beyond live presentations by startups, offering a series of activations designed to open doors to collaboration, mentorship and investments," AlJaziri said. "Entrepreneurs will be able to pitch directly to participating investors, corporations, government entities, and strategic partners. By creating these opportunities, we aim to build a sustainable innovation network that responds to the real-world needs of the entrepreneurial ecosystem."

The quote signals the foundation's intent. DFF wants durable links between founders and capital, not a one-off showcase.

How does The Pitch fit into Dubai Future Week?

Throughout the week, The Pitch involves entrepreneurs in forecasting transformations and designing solutions for the future of humanity and vital sectors over the coming years and decades. That mandate aligns with DFF's vision of embracing innovation as a means to serve people.

The broader agenda is dense. Dubai Future Week includes:

  • Keynote speeches and panel discussions
  • Workshops and inspiring debates
  • Challenges and competitions
  • Exhibitions and immersive future experiences
  • Closed-door meetings and offstage activations

These activities spread across eight main platforms: The Big Stage, The Prototype Floor, The Pitch, The Policy Room, The Challenge, Offstage, 500 Future Minds, and The District.

Each platform targets a different slice of the innovation economy. The Pitch is where early-stage companies meet money. The Policy Room gives the event a government dimension. The Prototype Floor shows hardware and concepts in physical form.

Why it matters for founders

For Dubai-based founders, the calculus is simple. One application can route a startup past the usual gatekeepers and into a room with investors, corporates and government buyers at once. The shortlist itself functions as a filter that participating investors can treat as pre-vetted deal flow, which raises the odds that a stage pitch converts into a term sheet or a pilot agreement.

Founders and university teams interested in applying can find details at www.dubaifutureweek.com. The event runs 18 to 21 November 2026, which gives applicants time to build the prototype, the case and the pitch — but the finale stage will reward those who arrive with evidence, not slides.
