ePropelled's Nick Grewal Named 2026 New Hampshire Entrepreneur of the Year

The New Hampshire Tech Alliance has named Nick Grewal, founder, chairman and CEO of ePropelled, its 2026 Entrepreneur of the Year. The award recognizes more than four decades of technology entrepreneurship, investment and business leadership.

Grewal received the honor at the organization's Innovation Summit in Nashua. The recognition arrives as ePropelled expands its propulsion, power management and systems integration technologies for autonomous and uncrewed platforms operating in the air, on land and at sea.

"I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from the New Hampshire Tech Alliance," Grewal said. "While the award carries my name, it is ultimately a reflection of the talented people who have helped build ePropelled and our shared belief that world-class engineering, advanced manufacturing and technology innovation can thrive in New Hampshire while serving customers around the world."

Grewal founded ePropelled in 2018. Since then, he has led its development into an international technology company serving aerospace, defense, maritime, industrial and autonomous systems markets.

The company builds electric propulsion systems, motor control technologies and intelligent power management products. More recently, it has expanded into software-defined propulsion architectures that integrate propulsion hardware, power management and connected software.

That approach tracks a broader shift. Propulsion performance, energy use and software control increasingly determine range, endurance and operating capabilities as electrification and autonomous systems converge.

ePropelled maintains its manufacturing headquarters in New Hampshire and operates engineering and development centers in Coventry, United Kingdom, and Chennai, India. The company serves customers globally and says it structures its operations around sovereign supply chains.

"Nick recognized early that autonomy, electrification and intelligent power management would become defining technologies of the coming decades," said Dean Marcarelli, chief commercial officer of ePropelled.

Marcarelli said the company has evolved from developing propulsion and power-management technologies toward integrating hardware, software and connectivity into broader systems for uncrewed platforms.

Patents offer one measure of that trajectory. ePropelled says it has created more than 40 patents across 13 categories since its founding. Its technologies target applications involving uncrewed aerial, ground and maritime vehicles, with an emphasis on improving energy efficiency and propulsion performance.

The Entrepreneur of the Year recognition also reflects Grewal's career before establishing ePropelled. He previously founded and led several technology businesses, including Nashoba Networks, which Cisco Systems acquired. Grewal has also worked as an investor and adviser, supporting more than 40 technology companies over the course of his career.

His latest company combines that technology background with an advanced manufacturing operation based in New Hampshire, while keeping engineering capabilities in Europe and Asia.
