Florida State University Unveils 2027 Seminole 100 List

Florida State University has named 107 alumni-owned or alumni-led businesses to its 2027 Seminole 100 list, the program's tenth annual ranking of the fastest-growing companies led by FSU graduates. EY, the global professional services firm, verified the submitted data and ranked the businesses by compound annual growth rate over the past three years.

The program launched in 2018, making the 2027 edition the tenth consecutive year FSU has ranked alumni entrepreneurship. The Seminole 100 Celebration is presented by the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in partnership with the FSU Alumni Association.

FSU President Richard McCullough framed the anniversary as evidence of alumni impact beyond campus. "For a decade, Seminole 100 has showcased the extraordinary talent, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit of Florida State University alumni," McCullough said. "This milestone is a testament to the lasting impact our graduates are making in communities and industries across the country. We are proud to celebrate this year's honorees and the remarkable example they set for future generations of Seminoles."

The university did not disclose the individual growth figures behind the rankings. Those numbers stay sealed until the ceremony.

When and Where Will the Rankings Be Revealed?

Honorees and their companies will be celebrated on February 20, 2027, at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee. The ranked list will be revealed at the event, culminating in the announcement of the No. 1 alumni-owned or -led business. The university has published the honorees only in alphabetical order so far, so the actual pecking order — and which company posted the strongest three-year growth — remains unknown until that night.
