What's News

  • Higgsfield's $400 million Series B closed in August at a $5.4 billion valuation.
  • Nvidia and TCV added undisclosed capital to extend the Series B.
  • The startup processes 12 trillion tokens a month across 150 million content generations.
  • Higgsfield reached $1 billion in annualized revenue in September.
  • The $5.4 billion valuation equals 5.4 times the September annualized revenue run rate.

Higgsfield's Series B raised $400 million in August at a $5.4 billion valuation. The company then topped up the round with undisclosed capital from Nvidia and TCV, according to Indian Television Dot Com.

What did the extension finance?

The extension changes the backers behind the round, not the disclosed headline economics. Indian Television Dot Com did not reveal the size of either investment, Nvidia's or TCV's stake, or any revised valuation after the top-up.

The report described TCV as a growth-equity investor and framed Nvidia as a strategic backer. Their capital builds on the Series B rather than creating a separately disclosed financing.

The announcement also coincided with Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang visiting Kazakhstan, home to much of Higgsfield's founding crew. The report called that timing more than coincidence.

How large is Higgsfield's operating scale?

Higgsfield processes 12 trillion tokens a month across 150 million content generations, the report said. That scale makes Nvidia's graphics hardware central to the startup's operating model.

The AI video and image company also reached $1 billion in annualized revenue in September. That figure marks a revenue run rate, rather than a disclosed full-year result or profit figure.

Higgsfield chief executive officer Alex Mashrabov said: “Every brand, studio and creator now needs more visual content than traditional production can supply, and a new category is forming to meet that demand.” The statement defines the market opportunity as a content-supply problem, not as a narrow tool category.

Using September's run rate against August's valuation, $5.4 billion equals 5.4 times Higgsfield's annualized revenue. The report provided no profit or margin figure for an earnings multiple, so this comparison measures scale rather than profitability.

Why did investors emphasize product velocity?

TCV general partner Neil Tolaney said Higgsfield was delivering product velocity and market adoption “that we have rarely seen.” His assessment focused on execution and uptake rather than the undisclosed size of the new checks.

Nvidia vice president of physical AI simulation Rev Lebaredian said: “AI factories produce intelligence in the form of tokens and the application layer is where those tokens become useful.” His language maps directly to Higgsfield's layered model.

Indian Television Dot Com said Higgsfield pairs raw silicon compute with high-end creative software. The report argued that the combination links infrastructure to creative output and is remaking the traditional media production pipeline.

For Higgsfield's corporate marketing and Hollywood visual-effects business, Nvidia supplies the compute layer while Higgsfield's application turns tokens into useful visual output. The equity investment aligns the chip supplier with that application layer.

What does the extension change?

With Nvidia and TCV now in Higgsfield's cap table, the startup has added a strategic technology backer and a growth-equity investor. The report disclosed no post-round ownership percentages.

The key operating relationship predates the extension: Higgsfield already relies heavily on Nvidia hardware. Nvidia's check therefore deepens an existing technology relationship rather than introducing the startup to a new computing stack.

For investors, the distinction is material. TCV's growth-equity case rests on product velocity and adoption, while Nvidia's strategic case rests on tokens moving from its compute layer into a commercial application.

The next test is whether Higgsfield can sustain 12 trillion monthly tokens, 150 million monthly generations and a $1 billion September revenue run rate while serving the brands, studios and creators Mashrabov cited. Those metrics, not the undisclosed check sizes, form the disclosed case for the $5.4 billion valuation. The extension strengthens that case with strategic capital, but leaves execution and adoption as the variables to watch.
