- Hubble Network raised $200 million in a Series C round.
- The round values the company at $1.6 billion.
- The funding supports its satellite constellation connecting directly to Bluetooth devices.
Hubble Network has secured a $200 million Series C round at a $1.6 billion valuation, according to a report from satnews.com. The round marks the company's entrance into the unicorn club and ranks among the larger recent financing rounds in the satellite connectivity sector.
The Seattle-based startup is building a constellation of satellites designed to connect directly to standard Bluetooth chips. The fresh capital will fund continued development and deployment of that constellation, the report states.
The $1.6 billion valuation represents a significant vote of confidence from investors in Hubble Network's core technical bet: that everyday Bluetooth-enabled devices — sensors, wearables, and other connected hardware — can communicate with satellites in orbit without requiring dedicated cellular or proprietary radio modules. If the company can scale the constellation, the approach could dramatically cut the cost and power consumption of connecting devices in remote areas.
The Series C follows earlier rounds that financed Hubble Network's initial launches and early demonstrations of its direct-to-Bluetooth satellite links. According to satnews.com, the new $200 million will support the buildout of the constellation needed to move from proof of concept toward continuous, global coverage.
The financing lands amid intensifying competition in the direct-to-device satellite market. Several players are racing to connect ordinary phones and IoT hardware to space-based networks, but most rivals rely on licensed spectrum partnerships with mobile carriers or custom chipsets. Hubble Network's Bluetooth-only architecture is a differentiator, and the valuation suggests investors see a viable path for it.
The company has not disclosed the full list of investors leading the round in the report. Hubble Network also did not announce a specific timeline for the next phase of launches.
The deal signals that venture capital remains available at premium valuations for space infrastructure companies with credible traction, even in a tighter funding environment. The next test for Hubble Network will be execution: turning its $1.6 billion valuation into a functioning constellation that delivers on the promise of connecting billions of Bluetooth devices from orbit.
