Electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy has raised Rs 1,750 crore (approximately $182 million) in a Series C round led by the family office of Thyrocare founder Dr. Arokiaswamy Velumani — the largest raise in the company's history and among the biggest ever for an Indian electric two-wheeler OEM. The company's total funding now exceeds Rs 2,530 crore.
The round included founder-CEO Suhas Rajkumar and co-founder CFO Ankit Gupta, plus Bengaluru HNI Amit Mishra and the Haran Family Office. Simple Energy, which sells the Simple One, Wave and Ultra scooters through 80-plus outlets, grew operating revenue roughly fourfold to Rs 150-160 crore in FY26 from about Rs 40 crore in FY25.
Where else did the big money go?
Ultraviolette Automotive pulled in $85 million led by Yali Capital and TDK Ventures, with Walden International chairman Lip-Bu Tan joining as an advisor. The Bengaluru EV maker will scale production of its F77 and X-47 motorcycles and accelerate the Tesseract scooter and Shockwave enduro bike. Ultraviolette has now disclosed $151 million in funding since August 2025 and plans a US entry in 2027.
Managed care startup Even Healthcare raised $50 million in a Series B led by existing investor Khosla Ventures, with Alpha Wave participating, taking total capital past $120 million. Even, which says its valuation has tripled in 18 months, will add one Bengaluru hospital by end-2026 and three more by FY27. "We want to make sure that Bengaluru patients and members are pretty well served," co-founder Mayank Banerjee said. The company serves over 2.5 lakh members across 10 cities.
Design accessories brand DailyObjects secured Rs 332 crore (around $35 million) in a Series C led by Xponentia Capital, Anicut Capital and Axiom Asia, valuing it near Rs 1,050 crore. Early investor Roots Ventures partially exited at an 18X return. DailyObjects plans 150 exclusive stores in five years.
Electric bus operator GreenCell Mobility raised Rs 330 crore from Impact Fund Denmark to help deploy roughly 4,500 buses in its pipeline. "This equity investment gives us greater headroom to accelerate our plans," MD and CEO Devndra Chawla said. GreenCell runs over 1,200 buses under the NueGo brand.
What does this week mean for consumer brands?
Fitness brand Boldfit landed about Rs 400 crore ($41.8 million) from Bharat Value Fund, taking lifetime funding past Rs 510 crore. "We're building a deeply integrated sports business, investing in product innovation, manufacturing excellence and nationwide retail to create the scale and capabilities required to serve India's sporting ambitions," founder Pallav Bihani said.
Snack brand Troovy raised Rs 100 crore in Series B led by Fireside Ventures with Sharrp Ventures, below the Rs 200 crore it was reportedly targeting. Rural healthcare startup CureBay raised roughly Rs 100 crore (Rs 69 crore equity from IvyCap plus Rs 30 crore debt), and battery-swapping network Battery Smart drew nearly Rs 98 crore from Ecosystem Integrity Fund at a post-money valuation near Rs 4,170 crore.
Dental platform MakeO took in Rs 90 crore led by Singularity AMC after its Zenyum acquisition; its combined business has crossed Rs 500 crore in revenue with EBITDA profitability in 2026. Home and kitchen brand Chapter Home raised Rs 63 crore from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures and Tanmay Bhat at a near-Rs 1,000 crore valuation.
Healthtech and AI deals stack up
Preventive healthcare startup Cent, founded by Practo's Shashank ND, raised $15 million co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons and acquired AI radiology platform Medsee. Cent screened about 10,000 people in the past year; one in four had findings needing medical attention. It targets 10 million scans by 2035.
Healthtech firm Confido Health added $12.5 million from Z47, Blume and Together Fund after 15-fold growth since its last round. Its AI agents now serve around 3,200 providers across 27 US states. Healthcare data startup BioStack raised $9.5 million in a seed round backed by Peak XV, Y Combinator and others to build a network spanning 100 million-plus de-identified patient records across the US, India, Brazil and Argentina.
Social gaming platform Matiks secured $10 million from General Catalyst and Ronnie Screwvala after 2.2 million players ran 48 million games in September. Nutrition brand Ace Blend raised $9.9 million led by 3one4 Capital for clinical trials and R&D. "Trust is not enough," founder Shivam Hingorani said of the supplements industry.
Smaller rounds, clear signals
The long tail ran from Let's Game Now's Rs 30 crore round with Anand Mahindra to watch brand Rotoris (Rs 70 crore from Blume Ventures), menswear brand KISAH (Rs 35.9 crore from Fireside at a Rs 211 crore valuation), and quick-commerce pharmacy Rio Health (Rs 43 crore at roughly Rs 170 crore post-money). EV charging platform Ionage raised $1.3 million, noting nearly two in five Indian public chargers sit non-functional at any given time.
The pattern for practitioners: late-stage capital is concentrating in EVs, healthcare infrastructure and profitable consumer names, while seed checks increasingly demand clinical validation, unit economics or hard tech differentiation.
