What's News

  • Infisical raised $40M in Series B funding at a $600M valuation
  • The round was led by Elad Gil, with participation from Gradient and Y Combinator
  • The company serves more than 1,300 customers and 300,000 developers
  • Infisical secures 10 billion secrets every day
  • Customers include Airbus, Volkswagen, Hugging Face, OpenRouter, Lucid, First American Financial Corporation, Wise, and Clay

Infisical has raised $40 million in Series B funding at a $600 million valuation. Elad Gil led the round, with participation from Gradient and Y Combinator, the company announced on 27/10/2026.

The San Francisco-based startup builds security infrastructure for developers, machines, and AI agents. CEO and co-founder Vlad Matsiiako leads the company.

What does the fresh capital fund?

Infisical will spend the new money in three directions, according to the company:

  • Accelerating product development
  • Expanding its engineering and go-to-market teams
  • Building out its security infrastructure for AI agents as enterprise adoption increases

The third item points at where the company sees its next leg of growth. Enterprises are wiring AI agents into production systems, and those agents need credentials to act. Infisical's pitch targets exactly that seam between autonomy and access control.

What does the platform actually secure?

Infisical provides the cybersecurity infrastructure organizations use to secure sensitive credentials, manage access to critical systems, and keep digital certificates renewed and trusted. The company frames its market timing around a simple premise: cyberattacks, vulnerabilities, and breaches are proliferating, which makes cybersecurity increasingly important.

Its flagship product for the AI era is Agent Vault. The feature lets companies give AI agents access without handing over credentials. Administrators can define the access each agent needs, and Infisical says they can then be assured the agent cannot leak credentials in a cyberattack.

There's a second failure mode Agent Vault addresses, and it's specific to how agents work today. An agent can't inadvertently send credentials to LLM providers or other tools it communicates with. That distinction matters: an agent talking to an external model or third-party service is a standing risk for credential exfiltration, and Infisical has built the guardrail directly into its infrastructure layer.

How big is the business?

The numbers suggest scale well beyond a typical Series B-stage security vendor. Infisical serves more than 1,300 customers and 300,000 developers, and it secures 10 billion secrets every day.

The customer list spans aviation, automotive, fintech, and AI. Named customers include:

  • Airbus
  • Volkswagen
  • Hugging Face
  • OpenRouter
  • Lucid
  • First American Financial Corporation
  • Wise
  • Clay

That mix is notable. Consumer-adjacent fintechs like Wise sit alongside heavy industrial names like Airbus and Volkswagen, plus AI-native companies such as Hugging Face and OpenRouter. Security infrastructure that crosses those sectors without customization tends to compound adoption quickly.

Why does a $600 million valuation make sense here?

The valuation marks a six-fold implied enterprise value relative to the round size, a ratio that reflects investor confidence in the security-infrastructure category rather than the raise alone. Elad Gil's lead is the headline name; Gradient and Y Combinator's participation adds continuity, since the accelerator backed the company earlier in its life.

The strategic bet embedded in the round is the AI-agent thesis. Infisical already operates at the scale of 10 billion secrets secured daily across 300,000 developers. If enterprises keep deploying agents that need controlled, credential-free access to critical systems, Agent Vault positions the company to sell the control plane for that shift.

With the Series B closed, the immediate priorities are hiring and product velocity. The company says it will build out security infrastructure for AI agents as enterprise adoption increases — a bet that the next wave of corporate software spending follows the agents themselves.
