What's News

  • The U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorsed Anthony DiLorenzo for New Hampshire's First Congressional District.
  • Chamber VP Steve McAllister cited DiLorenzo's 40+ years in business and his dealerships and collision centers employing thousands of New Hampshire residents.
  • The U.S. Chamber describes itself as the world's largest business organization, with more than 114 years of advocacy for pro-business policies.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Anthony DiLorenzo, the entrepreneur running for New Hampshire's First Congressional District. The organization announced the endorsement from Washington, D.C., positioning itself behind a candidate it says will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

The endorsement carries the weight of the country's most influential business lobby. The Chamber describes itself as the world's largest business organization, representing companies of all sizes across every sector of the economy. Its members range from small businesses and local chambers of commerce to leading industry associations and large corporations. For more than 114 years, the group has advocated for pro-business policies aimed at helping businesses create jobs and expand the economy.

Steve McAllister, Vice President of the Eastern Region for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, laid out the case for DiLorenzo in bluntly commercial terms.

"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse entrepreneur Anthony DiLorenzo for Congress in New Hampshire's First Congressional District. Anthony brings more than 40 years of real-world experience building successful businesses and employing thousands of New Hampshire residents through his dealerships and collision centers. He understands firsthand what it takes to create jobs, meet a payroll, and grow a business. Anthony will bring that practical experience and pragmatic business principles to Washington, where he will be a strong voice and advocate for the free enterprise system and New Hampshire's business community," McAllister said.

The statement anchors the endorsement in DiLorenzo's operating record rather than in policy positions. The Chamber's argument rests on three claimed credentials: more than 40 years building businesses, employment of thousands of New Hampshire residents through his dealerships and collision centers, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to create jobs and meet a payroll.

That framing matters for the race in the First District. The Chamber endorses federal candidates it judges will support innovation-driven, pro-growth policies, and the organization is explicit that its backing functions as an advocate for what McAllister called "the free enterprise system and New Hampshire's business community" in Washington.

For DiLorenzo, the endorsement delivers an institutional stamp of approval from an organization with a century-plus record of lobbying on behalf of businesses ranging from Main Street shops to the largest corporations. For the Chamber, the bet is that a candidate who has signed payrolls and run dealerships will translate that operating experience into legislative support for the business agenda the organization has pursued since its founding.

The First District contest will now test whether the Chamber's endorsement, and the business credentials it highlights, translate into votes in a district the organization clearly views as winnable for a pragmatic, business-first candidate.
