  • Verisma serves more than 20,000 clients across all 50 U.S. states
  • Golub Capital manages over $95 billion in capital as of October 1, 2026

  • Verisma launched Inbound Document Intelligence and Archiving Chart Search during 2026

Verisma has closed a new senior-secured financing package from Golub Capital, including a delayed draw term loan facility, to fund technology investment and strategic acquisitions. The NewSpring Capital-backed company announced the deal without disclosing the loan amount.

Verisma provides health information lifecycle management — HILM — technology and services to healthcare organizations across the U.S. The company serves more than 20,000 clients in all 50 states. Its platform covers health data integrity, management, exchange, archiving, release of information, care coordination, and value-based care.

CEO Marty McKenna said the financing arrives as the health information business shifts well beyond paperwork. He said: “The function of ‘health information management’ within an organization has evolved significantly over the past several years. It is a dynamic market, and Verisma is poised to expand both its leadership position and its footprint as the premier HILM vendor. Golub Capital’s financing gives us the firepower to accelerate our growth, through both organic development and M&A.”

Why does the money matter now?

Verisma argues that health information management now touches core hospital economics, not just administrative tasks. The company points to care continuity, care gap closure, quality performance, and reimbursement optimization as areas where health data increasingly drives results.

The company has already been building. During 2026, Verisma launched two new products:

  • Inbound Document Intelligence — extracts outcomes data from incoming documents to support quality reporting and reimbursement.
  • Archiving Chart Search — lets clinical and health information management users find information across archived patient records spanning multiple systems and categories.

Black Book Research named Verisma the top vendor for release of information and health information lifecycle management for the eighth consecutive year. That ranking gives the company a defended position to build from as it hunts acquisitions.

Who is Golub Capital?

Golub Capital specializes in direct lending and private credit solutions, particularly for companies backed by private equity sponsors — a profile that fits Verisma's NewSpring ownership. As of October 1, 2026, the lender reported more than $95 billion of capital under management and over 1,100 employees across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Spyro Alexopoulos, Co-President and Co-Head of Sponsor Finance at Golub Capital, framed the deal as a bet on execution. He said: “Verisma has established a strong position in the healthcare data market through its focus on innovation, deep customer relationships, and operational excellence. We are pleased to partner with Verisma and NewSpring Capital to support the company’s long-term growth objectives.”

What comes next?

The financing structure — a delayed draw term loan — gives Verisma capital on tap rather than all at once, letting the company draw funds when acquisition targets or growth investments actually materialize. Verisma said it will use the facility to invest in technology while evaluating acquisitions that could expand its capabilities and market footprint.

The company's stated goal is to reinforce its position in healthcare data management while developing tools that help providers access and use patient information more efficiently. With private credit now cheaper to deploy than an equity raise for a sponsor-backed firm, the Golub facility signals Verisma intends to buy market share, not just build it.
