  • Insight Partners led the round; Salesforce invested in the company for the first time
  • Founded in early 2025, Wonderful says it operates across more than 35 countries
  • The company will spend the $550 million on faster product development and expanding its forward-deployed engineer teams

Israeli-Dutch AI startup Wonderful has raised $550 million in a Series C round at a $5 billion valuation — more than double the $2 billion price tag it commanded when it last raised money, less than six months ago.

Insight Partners returned to lead the round. Existing investors Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners all participated again. Salesforce is a first-time investor in this round.

How fast has the company grown?

Founded in early 2025, Wonderful has scaled at a pace that stands out even by AI-sector standards. The company says it now works across more than 35 countries.

Its early traction came from a customer service AI agent platform, which the company built and customized for non-English-speaking markets. Its distribution strategy was equally hands-on: Wonderful deployed engineering teams to work directly with customers — sometimes on their premises — to integrate its AI technology into their workflows and systems.

That model clearly worked, and it hasn't changed.

What is Wonderful selling now?

The core product has evolved beyond customer service. The company now offers a platform it calls "Wonderful AI OS," which it says can coordinate and connect agents, workflows, and AI applications with companies' data, context, and existing integrations.

The platform works with any AI model and is compatible with existing tech stacks, according to the company. That openness is the pitch.

"Customers can adopt whichever parts of the platform make the most sense, integrate them with existing systems, choose the best models for each workload, and retain ownership of everything they build," Roey Lalazar, Wonderful's CTO and co-founder, said in a statement.

In short, Wonderful is selling flexibility rather than lock-in — a direct answer to enterprises wary of betting on a single AI vendor.

Why do forward-deployed engineers matter?

Wonderful still leans on its forward-deployed engineers to embed its products quickly into customer operations. That approach looks well timed: demand for experts who can actually implement AI services and products keeps outpacing supply, and the FDE model turns that scarcity into a sales channel.

The company said it will use the fresh $550 million to develop products faster, expand its FDE teams, and meet demand for its products.

A valuation that jumps from $2 billion to $5 billion in under six months sets a high bar — but with Salesforce now on the cap table and demand for AI implementation expertise still climbing, Wonderful is betting the engineers, not just the software, keep that curve bending.
