Xyra Group bids to rescue Poundland with £12.5m upfront debt payment

Xyra Group has offered to clear £12.5m of Poundland's £30m debt upfront, as Gordon Brothers weigh bids for a chain employing 12,000 staff and supporting up to 30,000 jobs.
