What's News

  • ARTISO AI raised more than €3 million in pre-seed funding.
  • Criteria Venture Tech led the round, joined by Swanlaab Venture Factory and Bynd Venture Capital.
  • ARTISO AI already works with fashion brands across three regions: Europe, North America and Asia.
  • Three founders—CEO Sarah Iglesias Hiller, Chief Product Officer Lucas Pastur Romay and Chief Technology Officer Matthias Brenninkmeijer—formed ARTISO AI after working together at Mango.

ARTISO AI has raised more than €3 million in pre-seed funding to develop an artificial intelligence operating system built specifically for fashion brands, the company said.

According to ARTISO AI, Criteria Venture Tech led the round, with Swanlaab Venture Factory and Bynd Venture Capital participating. ARTISO AI also received backing from Nicolaj Reffstrup, founder and former CEO of GANNI, through Lookup Ventures, as well as Cyberclick co-founder David Tomas.

ARTISO AI said the capital will give it additional resources to develop its fashion-specific platform, grow adoption among global brands and extend an operating system around each brand’s own identity and institutional knowledge.

What does ARTISO AI’s operating system connect?

ARTISO AI is developing what it describes as an AI operating system for fashion brands. The platform is designed to connect information and workflows spanning four stages in one environment:

  • Inspiration
  • Design
  • Product development
  • Campaign imagery

ARTISO AI says this unified system can keep assets and decisions from remaining distributed across disconnected tools. Its AI can draw on each brand’s historical archive, visual language and creative preferences, while keeping people involved in decision-making.

The company positions the platform as a way to preserve and operationalize the knowledge created during each fashion season. ARTISO AI says fashion companies continuously produce new collections, but information behind them often becomes fragmented across separate systems and teams.

ARTISO AI says its answer is a persistent knowledge layer that AI systems can use to support future creative and operational work. The company says the layer is designed to retain collection information for later use.

Takeaway: ARTISO AI wants seasonal knowledge to remain available inside one operating environment, not scattered across tools.

How will the pre-seed capital accelerate ARTISO AI?

ARTISO AI says the funding will provide additional resources for three priorities:

  • Developing its fashion-specific AI platform.
  • Growing adoption among global brands.
  • Expanding an operating system that connects creative, product and commercial processes around a brand’s identity and institutional knowledge.

ARTISO AI says the expansion combines product work with geographic reach. The company was built in Europe but is pursuing an international strategy from its early stages. ARTISO AI said it is already working with fashion brands across Europe, North America and Asia.

ARTISO AI said its platform carries context from early inspiration through product development and campaign imagery. Historical archives, visual languages and creative preferences can inform later work, while people remain involved in decisions, the company said.

Takeaway: ARTISO AI is using the round to advance both its fashion-specific technology and its reach among global brands.

Who built ARTISO AI, and where does it operate?

ARTISO AI was founded by CEO Sarah Iglesias Hiller, Chief Product Officer Lucas Pastur Romay and Chief Technology Officer Matthias Brenninkmeijer. The three founders previously worked together at Mango, the company said.

ARTISO AI says they created the company around a central proposition: fashion companies need technology built around the industry’s distinct workflows, creative processes and knowledge structures.

The company says its product architecture follows that proposition. Its operating system combines each brand’s historical archive, visual language and creative preferences with human decision-making. ARTISO AI says people remain involved as its AI supports work across the fashion process.

ARTISO AI says its founders’ Mango experience sits behind a product designed around fashion-specific work and institutional knowledge.

Takeaway: ARTISO AI’s founding team is applying its shared fashion experience to software built around the industry’s own operating model.

With more than €3 million in pre-seed capital, ARTISO AI can now press ahead on its fashion-specific platform and broader adoption among global brands. The stated near-term goal is to connect creative, product and commercial work around each brand’s own identity, while preserving the knowledge behind each collection for future seasons.
