Fashion accessories startup Qiroko has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a pre-seed round led by ISV Capital, with angel investors also participating. The money will fund new products, a wider distribution network and stronger brand-building capabilities.
The round marks the first external capital for a company that stayed bootstrapped through its first year of operations. Qiroko says it reached an annualized revenue run rate of Rs 6 crore in that first year and kept unit economics healthy along the way.
For a pre-seed check of Rs 1.5 crore, that traction is the story. Most accessories brands chasing scale burn cash long before a Rs 6 crore run rate shows up.
Where will the money go?
Qiroko laid out three clear uses for the fresh capital:
- Product expansion. The company plans to push beyond everyday fashion accessories into watches and bags, building a broader portfolio that also spans jewellery.
- Distribution. It will deepen its presence across its direct-to-consumer (D2C) website, online marketplaces and quick commerce platforms.
- Team and content. The funding will support headcount growth and the build-out of in-house brand and content capabilities.
That last item matters more than it looks. Owning the content engine, rather than renting it through agencies, is how D2C brands in India's crowded accessories market protect their margins.
How does Qiroko sell today?
The brand positions itself around affordable fashion accessories with wearable designs for everyday use. It reaches customers through four main channels:
- Its own D2C website
- Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra
- Quick commerce platform Blinkit
The Blinkit presence is the notable one. Fashion accessories through quick commerce is still a young behavior in India, and it puts Qiroko in front of impulse buyers who want a product in minutes, not days.
The company's stated goal is a broader accessories portfolio spanning jewellery, watches and bags, sold to more consumers through multiple online channels. In plain terms: more categories, more screens, more shelf space.
Why does this round make sense now?
Qiroko's expansion plans arrive as fashion and lifestyle brands increasingly lean on D2C platforms, marketplaces and quick commerce to reach customers. The three-channel model — own site, marketplace, quick commerce — has become the standard playbook for India's digital-first consumer brands.
ISV Capital's lead check gives Qiroko the capital to run that playbook across more categories. The bet is straightforward: a brand that hit Rs 6 crore in annualized revenue without outside money should move faster with Rs 1.5 crore behind it.
Watch the watches and bags rollout. Extending from accessories into those categories will test whether Qiroko's brand travels or stays confined to its original shelf.
