Nine Indian startups pulled in fresh capital this week, with the largest single round — a $5.5 million seed — going to Mochatrade, a trading platform giving Indian users exposure to US markets. Add up the disclosed rounds and the week's total crosses $60 million, spread across consumer brands, AI infrastructure, deeptech and defence.

Mochatrade's seed was led by CoinFund, with Coinbase Ventures and Zero Knowledge Ventures participating. Earlier backers include Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund. The company plans to build out its trading engine and risk infrastructure and reach active Indian traders. Planned additions include contracts linked to selected pre-IPO companies, US stock options and social trading features — all subject to regulatory approvals.

What does the week's biggest AI bet tell you?

Live2.ai raised ₹130 crore in a pre-series B round led by IvyCap Ventures. The round splits into primary growth capital and a secondary component giving partial liquidity to early shareholders — a structure that signals early investors wanted an exit window while the company still scales. The funds will back its AI agent platform, expand enterprise deployments and grow its footprint across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Simplismart, an AI infrastructure startup, followed with $14 million in a series B led by Dallas Venture Capital. NVIDIA, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax all participated. The capital goes toward its AI inference platform, partnerships with cloud providers and sovereign AI infrastructure operators, and expansion across North America and other global markets.

Consumer and manufacturing deals

Luxury watch brand Rotoris raised ₹70 crore (around $8.5 million) in a series A led by Blume Ventures. 9Unicorns and Centricity brought in family offices including Diwakar Goel, global head of data at BlackRock; Atul Singh, former group president for Asia Pacific at Coca-Cola; and Adhiraj Singh of the Dabur family — correction, Adhiraj Burman of the Dabur family. Actor Rannvijay Singha also invested. The money funds R&D, expanded production and growth in India and overseas.

Ace Blend raised $9.91 million in a series A2 led by 3one4 Capital, with existing investor Fireside Ventures doubling down. The wellness brand will strengthen research capabilities, deepen supply chain integration and expand its product portfolio.

On the manufacturing side, Venttup — an engineering-led B2B startup focused on precision components and industrial supply chains — raised $3 million in a pre-series A led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures. The capital will expand its engineering team, establish precision manufacturing capability and fund rapid prototyping infrastructure plus AI tools for sourcing and supplier intelligence.

Deeptech, gaming and Japan

Underwater robotics startup Coratia Technologies raised ₹18 crore in a bridge round led by MGF Kavachh. The money executes a ₹66 crore Indian Navy programme, strengthens R&D and scales manufacturing and deployment for defence and industrial customers.

Gaming and e-sports company Let's Game Now closed a ₹30 crore round backed by industrialist Anand Mahindra and Bestvantage Investments, with a significant portion coming from a UAE-based family office. The capital accelerates the Indian Super Gaming League, a franchise-based league combining competitive gaming, sports, entertainment and technology.

QwikBuild, an enterprise AI startup, raised $2.3 million in pre-seed funding from Globalway, Blume Ventures, Marsshot and DeVC, plus angels including Groww founder Lalit Keshre and Cure.fit founder Ankit Nagori. It also announced a joint venture with publicly listed Japanese company Globalway to enter Japan's enterprise market.

What does this change for founders and investors?

Three patterns stand out. Global investors — CoinFund, NVIDIA, Dallas Venture Capital, a UAE family office — are writing cheques into Indian startups across stages. Secondary liquidity is appearing earlier, as Live2.ai's round shows. And defence and sovereign-adjacent deals, like Coratia's Navy programme and Simplismart's sovereign AI push, are now fundable categories rather than niches. Founders in AI infrastructure and precision manufacturing should read this week as confirmation that capital is actively chasing their sectors.
